AMC Services & Engineers Pvt. Ltd. has inaugurated the Allison Off-Highway Drive and Motion Systems Authorised Service Center in Kolkata, marking a significant milestone in strengthening aftermarket support and technical service capability for India’s rapidly expanding off-highway equipment sector.
The inauguration was attended by senior leadership from Allison Off-Highway, including Mr. Marino Roberto, Global Head – Aftermarket; Mr. D. Prabakaran, India Head – Aftermarket; along with key industry partners and customers.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Arvind Bothra, Director, AMC Group, highlighted India’s accelerating growth across steel, mining, construction, and infrastructure sectors, emphasizing the increasing need for reliable service ecosystems to support advanced heavy equipment. He noted that the new facility has been established to deliver faster turnaround times, enhanced equipment uptime, and high-quality technical support for customers across Eastern India, while also contributing to capability building in advanced transmission and off-highway technologies.
Mr. D. Prabakaran, India Head – Aftermarket, Allison Off-Highway, described the inauguration as an important step in Allison Off-Highway’s long-term vision of building world-class service infrastructure in India. He stated that the growing scale of the Indian market and rising localisation in axle manufacturing have created the need for robust, high-quality service centers capable of supporting evolving customer requirements.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Marino Roberto, Global Head – Aftermarket, Allison Off-Highway, commended AMC’s technical capabilities, infrastructure investment, and commitment to customer excellence. He reaffirmed India’s strategic importance as a key growth market for Allison Off-Highway and emphasized the role of specialised service networks in supporting modern off-highway equipment.

The inauguration of our Kolkata service center AMC Engineers & Services marks a key milestone in strengthening Allison Off-Highway aftermarket presence in India. Equipped with a state-of-the-art test bench and OEM-trained and supported engineers, this facility will significantly enhance service support for construction, mining, and material handling customers across the region.
